57' Colecraft trad style with a large rear hatch slide shell part fitted out by Droitwich Boat Centre in 1997. Beta Marine 1505 with PRM1 gearbox. The 40' cabin fittout was completed by the owners, Judith and Ross, with cross berth double and occasional double. The interior is painted F&B Cream and Limewhite deckhead. Originally fitted with a Mikuni heater and Finrad skirting radiators the heating fit out has been added to and now includes a diesel stove. Other equipment fitted since original build include a bowthruster and a second alternator to charge the bowthruster batteries.
There are 5 domestic 100amp hour batteries recharged by the original 50 amp Lucas alternator. This is now being upgraded to a 70 amp alternator. Fitting a small 230v freezer powered from an inverter proved unsuccessful and a 12v freezer and larder fridge was fitted in 2010 and has proved to be succesful.
The large stainless steel water tank under the front deck was improved by a gauge and we can now cruise for 7 days with confidence without topping up ... but when left for this time filling up takes quite some time!
